ECG Recording and Basic Interpretation

The intended audience for this course are nursing and medical students, junior nursing staff, Health care assistants, cardiac technicians.

 

 

Description -

 

This one day course is suited for people who are new to ECG recording and interpretation.

 

There are no assumptions made about prior knowledge or skill, the course content guides the participant gently through the basic concepts.

The course is theoretical in nature but uses a range of activities to familiarise the learner with the knowledge that underpins the skill.

 

 

Refreshments, lunch and all course materials are included.

Certificate of attendance for 6 hours CPD.

 

Course content:

  • What is the ECG?
  • Accurate recording of the ECG
  • Electrode placement
  • Troubleshooting

 

  • Making a basic review of the ECG to
  • Check for errors in recording
  • Recognise abnormalities that require immediate attention
  • Interpretation practice
  • Multiple choice quiz
